The vision of the South African Post Office (SAPO) is to be recognised among the leading providers of postal and related services in the world.
During the past few years SAPO has been actively working towards realising this vision and significant progress has been made on this journey. Part of this journey is continuous improvement of structures and systems to ena
ble SAPO to deliver more effectively and efficiently and to increase the organisation’s reach throughout South Africa. However, SAPO realises that a culture transformation is also required as people need to make transformation happen - they are at the core of this journey.
Personal mastery has been identified as the channel through which the above can be achieved. Free To Grow was selected as the most suitable service provider for this purpose and was appointed to present training organisation wide in the 9 regions over a three year period.
Alinda Nortje, Executive Chairperson of Free To Grow explains what makes this programme special: “We have developed a programme for the post office that has personal mastery at its core, but that goes beyond this to align individuals to the needs and the values of the organisation.
The programme is aimed at:
“Free To Grow and the SA Post Office are partners in this process, as we will be working very closely together to offer this opportunity of personal development to each SA Post Office employee. It is such an incredible opportunity for each employee to spend some time to understand themselves better and ensure that they develop themselves in such a way that will allow and enable them to be the person that they were meant to be,” says Susan Myburg, General Manager, Human Capital Development, SA Post Office.
